May 10 Policemans Prayer"Policeman's Prayer" When I start my tour of duty God, Please give me understanding with both the young and old. Lord if some dark and dreary night, (Author Unknown)
Thanks Maddog!!! May 05 Heroshave you ever thought to yourself..."what makes a hero?" I have. And i have always wondered what did. I put some thought into this over the last couple days, and I think i have come to the idea that a hero is not what you see on t.v or in the movies. They do not have speacial powers, nor can they fly, or be able to do all the things you see on t.v and in the movies. A hero is someone that does something for someone else, and never stops to think to themselves..."how will they return the favor" or "what will i get out of this?" It could be anything, from doing something small, or doing something big for someone else.
The reason why i got thinking about this, is because i feel my life has been touched by a true hero. Sergeant Darryl Tsujimoto, of the San Francisco Police Department, passed away on May 1st 2006, of a massive heart attack. Did i know who he was? In a way..yes i did. You see, Sgt. Tsujimoto was the officer that trained my dog that i will be using on the job. And as i can tell so far, Jenny (that is the dogs name) has proven to be one of the best. (i will not say the best because a fellow officer friend of mine also has one) Sgt. Tsujimoto was a very well loved man from what i understand, he did everything the best he could do. Sgt. Tsujimoto's friends here in Idaho are the ones that are training me how to handle the dog. They to have touched my life. So to me these are true heros.
May God be with Sgt. Tsujimoto's family and friends in this hard time. May he watch over the streets in Hevan, for he has done his time in Hell. Rest in peace my friend.
